Knot Standard’s picks for best dressed men at the 2016 Oscars.
There of course were the classic men, those that did not stray from the natural sleek elegance of the black tuxedo. Michael Keaton and Leonardo DiCaprio nailed the classic tux with perfect tailoring on sleeve, cuff length, and pant break. Get their look here.
Pharrell Williams, Ryan Gosling, and Tom Hardy also caught our eye with their own unique twists on the classic tuxedo. We love how Pharrell updated his sleek look with a cuffed pant leg paired with loafers. Tom Hardy enhanced his look with some hip pocket watch flair, and Ryan Gosling stole the show with his white on white bowtie + button up combination.
The navy tuxedo was also a popular item among many of the attendees last night. Mark Ruffalo opted for the navy blazer with black trim and black trousers, whereas American Horror Story star Finn Wittrock and actor Dev Patel chose to do all navy everything, conveying a very stealth look. Shop the style.
The less common, but still polished as ever white tuxedo was quite a showstopper on the red carpet last night. Host Chris Rock wore a white tuxedo jacket, and was joined by Common who rocked an all white ensemble with trousers and vest and jacket. Get Chris’s look here.
