Spring Fashion – Checks for Spring and Summer with Knot Standard

Check this out: Checks for Spring and Summer with Knot Standard

Just in time for Spring and Summer, Knot Standard has kicked up style yet another notch with a brilliant new collection of men’s suits, shirts and blazers. Using lighter, high quality fabrics to suit the warmer weather in cooler shades of blues, browns and maroon, Knot Standard’s newest collection will keep you looking fresh all spring and summer long.

One of our favorite new pieces is our Benchmark Azur Gingham Shirt. Made from 100 percent cotton with a button down collar, notched single cuffs and white mother of pearl buttons, the Azur Gingham Shirt is cool and relaxed yet hits the right note of stylish casual. Think James Dean on holiday. Wear it on vacation to Aruba, at the golf course on a random Saturday or with our new Classic Light Grey Blazer and jeans for a casual Friday look.

Incorporating plaids and checks into your wardrobe may seem daunting at first but follow these three simple rules to get the mix just right:

1. Don’t wear plaid with plaids. Choose one bold pattern piece and pair it with solids and toned down colors or textures in order to let the statement suit, jacket or shirt speak itself.

2. If you are going to wear checks with checks, work from the inside out. Wear the smaller check in your dress shirt and the bolder check in your jacket or tie. Keep colors consonant. They shouldn’t match completely but a small eggplant and sunflower yellow check in your dress shirt can work nicely with a bolder eggplant, lavender and red checked tie.

3. Mixing patterns can be fantastic if you get it right. Again its best to use different size patterns, one smaller and one larger and add in a solid to create a balance. Also make sure at least one color is the same to pull the look together.
