Our 5 Favorite Things About Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston’s Look

Bryan Cranston2Breaking Bad premieres the first of its final eight episodes this Sunday. After five seasons the popular TV drama about a high school chemistry teacher turned drug lord is coming to an end.

Actor Bryan Cranston plays teacher-turned-meth magician Walter White, aka Heisenberg. Known more for his quirky acting than for an addiction to custom made suits, Cranston’s style shows up in slim fits and colorful accents. Knot Standard shares the top five things we love about Cranston’s sophisticated off screen look.

1. Slimmed down single button jackets. On the August cover of GQ, Cranston sports a silver grey suit. The slimmed silhouette gives Cranston a modern, youthful look.

2. Peak lapels. Cranston seems to prefer peak lapels (though we also loved him in the grey tux with shawl collar he wore to the 2012 Emmy Awards).

3. Colorful ties. Red with grey polka dots; aquamarine, pink and purple plaid, purple with white dots, yellow and slate stripes. Cranston isn’t afraid of upping the stakes by mixing colorful shirts and accents with more subdued grey or brown suits. 4. Narrow collars. Cranston compliments a slimmer face and build with narrow collars and slimmer ties.

5. A winning smile. Heisenberg might blow up your house if you cut him off in traffic but off screen, Cranston’s innate sense of humor reaches all the way to his eyes.
