Slim-cut Trousers

Slim cut trousers are snugly fitted on the leg, typically with parallel edges in the lower part of the leg and very little spare fabric over the hips. The result should give the wearer a slim contour.

To wear slim cut trousers with a man’s suit you need the right body shape. Ideally this means a tall man with long legs. For the shorter man, a shorter rise – the distance between the waistband and the crotch – will still make the slim cut a good buy. But slim fit may not suit the bulkier man, especially with a short rise to the trousers that allows a capacious belly to overhang prominently.

Whatever the body shape, slim trousers do not look good on a man with heavy thighs.
