He’s an internationally known soccer star, family man and fashion icon all in one. David Beckham defies categorization. The former Manchester United player is known for his plethora of tattoos, trendsetting haircuts and after soccer, for his iconic and unique fashion sense.
Beckham’s style has evolved from rebel to refined over the last three decades. Once known for faux hawk haircuts and baggy jeans, he’s now more often photographed in tailored suits with trim silhouettes, notch lapels and no break trousers. Needless to say, regardless of what style he’s on to at the moment, Beckham wears everything with confidence.
Always sharply dressed, the global heartthrob prefers clothing that compliments his athletic physique. He tends toward camel, brown and black colors for statement pieces and often chooses layers as a way to look stylish regardless of the event or occasion.
Having turned 40 this year, Beckham effortlessly transitioned from soccer powerhouse to poster boy for men’s modern and urban wear. He recently launched his latest Modern Essentials collection with H&M, demonstrating that fashion savvy isn’t only his wife, Victoria’s domain.
