Our Favorite Oscar Night Looks

The red carpet has been rolled up, the golden statuettes placed on mantels and the after parties over and we’re still talking about the awesomeness that was the Oscars 2014. Pharrel gets props for combining school-boy shorts and a tuxedo and not looking ridiculous. The shawl collar and appropriately-sized bow tie perfectly suited the tailored neatness of the shorts and allowed us all to get a glimpse of a Pharrel calf tattoo.

Bradley Cooper does James Bond. There really are no other words to describe the near absolute perfectness of Cooper’s tux. Tailored and fitted to a T with lightly padded shoulders and peak lapels to emphasize his physique, Cooper’s tuxedo met every expectation. The right jacket sleeve length, the exact right break for his height and a bowtie that’s neither too skinny, too wide nor too colorful.

She may have bee n more focused on the selfies but we were looking at her tux. Ellen DeGeneres looked saavy and sophisticated in a bespoke blue and black velvet tux with white bow tie and six button waistcoat. In our mind, she ruled the men’s tuxedo category.
