What to Pack for a Weekend Ski Trip

If you are planning on hitting the slopes for a winter weekend getaway, a ski suit and skis will be your first priority. When you’ve waxed the skis and found the perfect fitted goose-down jacket, its on to packing the rest of your holiday attire.

Start with the idea of layering. You will likely be in a variety of environments – indoor at the resort or lodge, on the ski slopes, out to dinner, in the shops or at a bar – and will need different levels of warmth. Henley t-shirts are great under shirts that can be layered upon and then worn alone or with a button down shirt for indoors.

Accessories are an absolute must in winter. Choose a warm and versatile hat like a colorful beanie. Wear quality leather gloves for everywhere except the slopes. Pair a Knot Standard Red Alpaca Scarf, made from extremely soft 100% alpaca wool and navy blazer over a classic plaid dress shirt for casual evenings by the fireside. Polarized sunglasses are essential for protecting your eyes from the glare of the sun off the white snow.

Remember to pack a couple of pairs of dark colored jeans, some thick rag socks and your favorite lug-soled boots.
